R407C is a refrigerant gas mixture obtained by blending three different HFC gases – R32, R125, and R134A – in specific proportions. Following the phase-out of R22 gas, it has become a strong alternative in the industry due to its similar operating characteristics and environmentally friendly nature.

R407C is commonly preferred in air conditioning systems, heat pumps, and commercial refrigeration systems operating in a medium temperature range. Compared to R22, it has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP 0) and offers better energy efficiency. Therefore, it enables a compatible transition in retrofit applications without requiring system changes.

By its nature, R407C is a zeotropic mixture, meaning its components move at different rates during evaporation and condensation. For this reason, gas transfer, charging, and recovery should only be performed by trained technicians.
