About Max Gas R14

R14, chemically known as Tetrafluoride Methane (CF4), is a perfluorocarbon used in systems requiring very low temperatures. As it is a dual-use gas, its trade requires special permission from the Ministry of Environment. In chemistry, it is known as the simplest fluorocarbon. The bonds in its molecular structure have very high strength, which is due to the relationship between carbon and fluorine molecules. It is classified as a halomethane, as well as a haloalkane.

CF4 gas is currently the most commonly used plasma etching gas in the microelectronics industry. It is also used as a laser gas for infrared detector tubes, a cryogenic refrigerant, a solvent, a lubricant, an insulating material, and a coolant. R14 gas is a rare gas obtained through a special production method.

Max Gaz was the first company to import this gas into Turkey. CF4 gas is non-flammable. R14 is stored by our company in 3-liter (Net 1 KG), 12-liter (Net 12 KG), 30-liter (Net 30 KG), and 61-liter (Net 61 KG) cylinders. R14 is supplied by special order, so the delivery time is between 3 and 6 weeks.
