About R14
R14, chemically known as Tetrafluoride Methane (CF4), is a halocarbon used in systems requiring very low temperatures. Because it is a dual-use gas, its trade requires special permission from the Ministry of Environment. In chemistry, it is known as the simplest fluorocarbon. The bonds in its molecular structure have very high strength, due to the bonding between carbon and fluorine molecules. It is classified as a halomethane and also as a haloalkane.
CF4 gas is currently the most widely used plasma etching gas in the microelectronics industry. It is also used as a laser gas, cryogenic coolant, solvent, lubricant, insulating material, and refrigerant for infrared detector tubes. R14 gas is a rare and specialized gas obtained through specialized production methods.
Max Gaz was the first company to import this gas in Türkiye. CF4 gas is not flammable. Our company stocks R14 in 1-liter (Net 1 kg), 12-liter (Net 12 kg), 30-liter (Net 30 kg), and 61-liter (Net 61 kg) cylinders. R14 is available by special order, so delivery times range from 3 to 6 weeks.
